The new Risas y
Sonrisas Individual Program consists of a Student Book with a full-color card
stock Domino Game, CD-ROM, and
Music CD. Like our Classroom
Program, our Individual Program is designed to stimulate different learning styles by using a multi-media, multi-sensory
approach. In this way, students
can learn much faster and with a higher level of retention.
"Risas y Sonrisas is an extraordinary language program - creatively designed to
be entertaining and rich in content. Kids are quickly immersed in Spanish and
having a ball. Short of a trip abroad I can't imagine a better learning
experience."
- Pam Parker, Risas y Sonrisas Customer
All of the elements of the program are designed to reinforce and complement each
other:
- Music CD
Students can listen to 39 songs on the CD. As they listen,
they can follow along with the lyrics or with the pictures in the Student Book.
They can also use the CD-ROM to read and play the song
one line at a time! Click here for more information on the Music CD.
|
 |
- CD-ROM
Using the CD-ROM, students can learn songs at their own pace, proper
pronunciation of vocabulary or key phrases and conjugations of
verbs in the past, present and future. When a
student clicks on any image, they will hear the correct Spanish pronunciation spoken by a native speaker!
All of the nouns are color coded with pink for feminine words and
blue for masculine words. This color coding is also used in the Student Book and
in
the domino games to reinforce this important aspect of Spanish
grammar - noun gender.

- Student Book
The full-color Student Book uses pictures, and in some cases
associations, to help students to easily learn vocabulary. Along
with their vocabulary, students learn key phrases related to that
unit. The student's skills expand by combining new and previously
learned vocabulary and phrases. Their knowledge of the Spanish language becomes more comprehensive.

information and Sample Units.

- Domino Game
Students practice 12 vocabulary units with this hands-on game. The
purpose is to connect the dominos by matching the picture on one domino
to the corresponding Spanish word for that picture on another domino.
The result is 6 squares with 4 dominos each per vocabulary unit. Click here for more information.

"Thank you so much for creating this program. You have condensed a wealth of
information into one small workbook and CD. The material is well organized and
very parent-children friendly. The illustrations in the workbook are clear as
well as very entertaining. The songs are fun, set to tunes with which most
American children are familiar. You have also done an incredible job of rhyming
between English and Spanish at the same time as you are organizing each lesson
into easy to remember categories and relationships. My kids (4 and 6 years old)
beg me to let them listen to the Spanish songs! I am delighted to hear them
singing the songs to themselves while they are playing."
