What makes Risas y Sonrisas Spanish for Kids so effective?
Our curriculum taps into children's natural language-learning ability, focusing on vocabulary acquisition and practical conversation. Students progress through Introduction, Reinforcement, and Mastery levels until they can fluently demonstrate their new knowledge.
Our printed and digital materials interconnect for a multi-sensory, multi-modal learning experience. We help students build real-world Spanish skills that give them the confidence to speak and a lifelong love of the Spanish language!
How do we do it?
Pronunciation
Right from the start, we focus on essential pronunciation and reading skills through fun visual associations and cognate words. Students are amazed at how many Spanish words they already know.
Music
Music is the most direct pathway to the brain! We introduce all new vocabulary with an original song to accelerate learning. Songs can be presented online in three different ways or with the Student Book, Workbook, or posters.
Games
Games activate the vocabulary learned in the songs. We offer a huge variety of digital and printed games that help students progress through Introduction, Reinforcement, and Mastery levels.
Conversation
Practical conversation skills are introduced through Q&A and role playing activities. Q&A are recycled with different vocabulary to form new connections and meaning. Students learn by speaking!
