This workbook lets parents and teachers stay with the program sequence or customize their classes by selecting themes that match their preference for a particular skit or comic. 

This product includes all the same activities as the old Student Activity Workbooks 1-4, but with lots of new material added. For those looking to separate the All-in-One Workbook into 4 parts, the table of contents is color-coded into four sections, showing where we recommend dividing the contents.

Teaching Tips

It can take anywhere from 1-5 years to complete the entire program, depending the length and number of your classes and the amount of student practice outside of class.

For all grades, we recommend starting out with the basics: Pronunciation, Colors & Shapes, Numbers, Calendar, Family, Greetings, and Cognates (Easy Words) along with the Q&A that are included in each of those themes. Older grades can acquire the theme’s vocabulary and dig more deeply into conversation by using the Q&A, skits, and comics while younger grades can focus more on vocabulary acquisition with fewer phrases.

For 5th graders who are just starting the program, we highly recommend that they begin with the program basics, then skip over some vocabulary themes to focus on verbs with Q&A and cognates (Easy Words cards). Students can practice with the Online activity, building complete sentences in the past, present, and future tenses using verbs, personal pronouns, and cognates. Communicating with simple sentences in different tenses will build their confidence, give them a love for the language, and keep them wanting to learn more!
